Dear readers,
When the COVID-19 pandemic struck and our team was forced back to our home states across the country, we were faced with the massive task of not only putting together a website that addresses a global crisis, but also doing so without any in-person contact. Despite the many challenges that this entailed, we placed our trust in the web design, promotions and multimedia teams, as well as the other editors, to come up with a variety of interesting and important content surrounding the all-encompassing topic of this pandemic. We are extremely proud of our final product, which uses a range of formats to create content discussing everything from the ways COVID-19 has impacted minority groups, to how students’ mental health is suffering due to the pandemic, to ways to stay busy while stuck inside.
Our goal with this project was to lift up voices and issues in both our community and the country. We hope you are able to connect with the hard work and dedication that our team has put into these stories. The times we live in aren’t easy, but it is our hope that this collection of stories helps you navigate life at home a little bit easier, and with a little more understanding of the world around us.
